Rigami
Test
Your ideas. A whole new dimension.
Characters, creatures, props. Create, assemble
and animate them in one studio. No 3D skills needed.
In the test: start with your own 3D model (GLB, glTF, VRM, OBJ or FBX).
An example of the five steps: the first three done, Animate under way. Open a step to see it in the studio.
One studio, all five steps down the left. Everything you make lands in a collection. Use the steps in any order and leave out what you do not need.
A complete creative workflow, all in your browser.
Keep objects together. Combine parts into something new.

Pick an animation, or pose it yourself. Describing an animation in words is coming soon.
Refine the shape, textures and finish.
Export a GLB file for your engine. More formats are coming later.
Rigami is in a small private test. Leave your email and we will tell you when it opens.
You import your own 3D model (GLB, glTF, VRM, OBJ or FBX). Then you can fix and paint it, add a skeleton, pose it, animate it with the studio's animations or your own keyframes, keep it in collections, and export it as a GLB file. Making models from words or images is coming later.
A little helps. Rigami does the hard parts for you, such as placing the skeleton and the skin weights, and shows you each step. In the test you need a 3D model to start with.
Characters, creatures and props: a knight, a fox, an eagle, an airship, a sword. Characters can walk, run and wave. Creatures walk on four legs or flap their wings. Props can swing, wobble or spin.
Yes. What you make in Rigami is yours. We claim no rights in it, and you may use it and sell it, for example in a game. Two things to know: you need the rights to what you import (if you import someone else's model, its licence still applies), and the animations and materials that come with the studio are free to use, also in paid work. Making models with AI is not part of the test yet; we will answer this question for AI-made models before that opens.
Only in your browser, on your device. They are not sent to us, and we cannot see them. Clearing your browser's data deletes them, so use Download a copy (in All objects) to keep a copy. You can open it again on any computer.
No. In the test your work never leaves your browser, so we could not even if we wanted to. We never will without asking you first.
In the test, Rigami exports GLB: one file with your model, textures, skeleton and animations. Unreal Engine, Godot and Blender open GLB as it is. Unity opens it with the free glTFast package. FBX and other formats are coming later.
The test is free. There is no price or opening date yet. Nothing is for sale. Our waitlist asks one question about price, to help us decide.
The test is invite-only, for about 20 game makers. Join the waitlist and we will email you when Rigami opens to more people.
Your files are opened in your browser and stay there. Nothing is uploaded. Only bring in files you have the right to use.
Rigami is made by Baris Atas, a game maker in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is not a company yet; one will be set up before anything is sold. Contact
A look ahead: making a model from an image and an animation from words. This part is coming soon and is not in the test. Shown sped up.
An image of a wandering ronin in a wide straw hat turns to dust in its colours, the dust gathers into his 3D model, and he does a front flip.
This model: Triangle, 69,998 faces, 53 bones, 1 animation. Textures shrunk to 1K for this page: the full file is about 60 MB.
